About Us
In 1989, a group of owners and developers saw a need and an opportunity to form a non-profit, non-governmental organization made up of other owners, developers and managers of multi-family housing funded through the USDA Rural Housing Services in New York State. The goal was to form a group that would encourage a forum of communication with the state office of Rural Housing as well as provide educational opportunities to the geographically diverse managers of rural housing in New York. What was formed became the New York State Rural Rental Housing Association (NYSRRHA).
NYSRRHA is a statewide organization, serving all of the Rural Development regions in New York State. Today, NYSRRHA has memberships of approximately 400 managers and owners, representing companies both large and small. Managing Rural Development properties requires extensive training and members have access to and notice of all educational offerings sponsored by NYSRRHA. We are committed to helping members find the education necessary to professionally and efficiently manage the properties in their portfolio, whether that portfolio consists of a small 8-unit apartment house, or a number of large communities.
Our goal is to provide top-notch training to improve professionalism and ethics within the industry and communication between members. It only makes sense! Why not join us today! By becoming a member, you'll receive educational training at a discounted rate and you'll also be able to help focus on the future of NYSRRHA to ensure a better tomorrow for the RD 515 program, its property owners, developers, managers and residents in New York State!
